I was asked to make a wedding card with roses and calla lilies, so I decided to use this week's sketch from Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge ,and kill to birds with one stone,so to speak. The challenge it's self, was an easy one for me as I often use a similar design when making my cards with roses. I usually do this on the left side of the card, so it was just a matter or flipping my work. The biggest challenge for me however was making calla lilies, as I have not done this before. After some searching, I found several video, and then came up with a combo of a couple that worked for me.I will make one again from the start , later in the week and post pics as I do each step. The roses were cut from the Art Philosophy cart, as was the calla lilies (surprise !!). The card stock for the calla lilies, and the first layer is the smokey plum from the the Enchanted paper pack. You can purchase this from CTMH, just click on the "shop with me " icon on the right side of my blog. The embossing on the colonial white was done with a cuttlebug embossing folder called Geometric Rings.Green leaves are also from AP cart, and the little plum leaves are done with a punch. As always, I also made a matching gift box for the card.
Have a great week, and be sure to make good use of all your bits and pieces. Come on over and join the fun at Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge !!
