It is time to celebrate ! Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has reached it's 100th sketch. How awesome it that. I have made this weeks challenge in honour of the occasion. As always ,the sketches done by the ladies on the design team are fantastic, and this week is no exception.
I choose to make my card in a portrait orientation, as opposed to the landscape one that was done here. I just like to change things up a bit.
I really like to go through all my bits and pieces and find something I can use, before I cut new paper. I try to keep my new paper packs for workshops and classes, and use the scraps for cards. This paper is an older paper from Close To My Heart . It is called Lollydoodle , and I used it a lot. It was very versatile as are all of the papers from CTMH. I used Pair card stock to mount it on, and to make the flower. The flowers were cut from the Art Philosophy Cartridge also from CTMH. I inked the scalloped oval with Pear, and finished it off with some bling. The sentiment is an older wooden stamp I own. I have long forgotten from whence it came. I sure hope you join us for the celebration. Have a wonderful week and remember to use up all your little bits and pieces.
To celebrate Sketch 100 we will be giving our some blog candy and
all you have to do is visit our fabulous design team members blogs and
leave a comment on their design for Sketch 100 and you are entered. We
will be drawing XX names at random from the comments. To increase
your chances of winning, leave comments for all of the design team
members! And to be fair, you can only win 1 time! Please invite your
friends and family to join the fun!
Thanks again for being part of our challenge community and we are all
looking forward to the next 100 fabulous sketches and your awesome

The bright green on your card is a real eye-catcher! I appreciate your kind comments on my challenge entries. Thank you for the opportunity to win a prize!
ReplyDeleteI loved Lollydoodle paper, too, and the little pops of color are picked up nicely in this pretty card. Congratulations on the 100th sketch!
ReplyDeleteFun card, love those bright flowers! Ready for spring!
ReplyDeletePlaying outside the box and not following the rules...you're my kinda crafter!!! :) Happy 100th. I love the sparkle swirl with your flowers.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I am unable to leave Barb a comment on her card...I have tried three times and my comment does not appear for the 100th Milestone Challenge. So, I'm putting it here to see if she gets my comments. I love the old paper, it's new to me. Loved you carried through with the green color from the paper to the flowers and border, it makes the card pop.
DeleteHi Sue, there is a security feature on my blog, that makes it necessary for me to approve any comments before they are posted on my blog. Thank you for your lovely comment !!
DeleteThose paper flowers are the coolest! Love the springy green you chose. Let's just say that our mantras about using paper scraps are vastly different. I need to be better about that so kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteSimple and lovely take on the sketch. Sometimes the new paper is just so great you can't help but cut it! But I try to use up the scraps too. TFS Hugs, Debi
ReplyDeleteYou're right you want to work with the new papers, but let's not leave behind all the older favorites you have in your stash. Luv that you used old paper, to me it was new and exciting. Bringing in the Pear color made it unique.
ReplyDeleteNice card.....I think I have that paper...lol... :) Hugs....Janie
ReplyDeleteFun and playful. Love the orientation change too, and how the green flowers pop right off the page! Lovely.

ReplyDeleteLove lolly doodle....I'm so mad I never ordered a full pack of it! Yor card is so pretty and I love those green flowers and how they highlight that little bit of green in the paper...
ReplyDeleteLollydoodle, love all the colors in that paper! Fun card, happy 100
ReplyDeleteFabulous job with the sketch....always love how your flowers turn out, you are the flower master.
ReplyDeleteCute, springy card! I need to use up some of my older scraps too--thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe old paper is NEW to me, and love how you brought in the pear color in the flowers and border from the background. A very nice contrast.
