Christmas Boughs

Sketch #31.....................What can I say.

When I first saw the sketch  for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week, my mind went blank, and my first thoughts went to my cricut.
I perused  all the "tree branches" and "leaves" in the search menu and found nothing that appealed to me. As  I sat wishing I had a tree branch punch and letting my mind and eyes wander, I saw the stamp set Yuletide Greeting I had just got from Close To My Heart . I immediately had a thought about what I wanted to do and how I wanted it to look. I grabbed my papers and inks, and did this card in about 10 mins !!

I first took the stamp and stamped it several times, over lapping each time to get the clustered look behind the top layer. I am not a big fan of markers, so after stamping a good image for my top, I coloured it in with my watercolour pencils, also from CTMH. I just got them, and I love them. I like the softer look that you get as opposed to the markers. Both stamped pieces were layered on Ruby . The top one is popped up with dimensionals, then both pieces were layered onto paper from the Sparkle and Shine paper pack, then layered once more onto Ruby card stock and placed on my 5x7 card. This is super easy and I think makes a very lovely card. make sure you give it a try, and I hope that you make good use of all your Bits and Pieces !!
