Sketch # 10 already. The weeks are flying by, and we are having a lot of fun over at the Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.Hope you all have been playing along. It is hard for me to stay away from pearls and lace and flowers for more than a few weeks in a row, so you know where this is going............LOL . I love the look of old lace and pearls, and flowers just go hand in hand with them. I think I may have been born in the wrong era!!
My card is a simple quick card ,the kind of thing you can do when you need a card in a hurry.
The card itself is a 5x7, with the next two layers cut 1/4' smaller then the layer before it. The color is colonial white and Sorbet(both from CTMH ). The spray of pearls were purchased second hand from a neighbor who had them left over from her wedding, so I am assuming you can purchase something similar at any shop that sells wedding supplies. The lovely ivory ribbon is the end(sob ,sob)of a roll I have had for many years, and have used a lot. I just lace whatever color ribbon suits my fancy through it. In this case, the satin ribbon is 1/4" ribbon from Stampin' Up. It is called "Island Indigo". I embossed with a cuddlebug folder called Tartan .The die cut is from Spellbinder and it is called Fluer dis les squares. The lovely little thank you stamp is an older one from Stampin' Up. I used twilight ink from CTMH. Flower is just inexpensive dollar store flowers that I layered and stuck together with a yellow brad.Sounds like a lot of work, but not so much. Cut, emboss, stamp and put it together.
I hope I have inspired you to make a simple but what I think is an elegant card, and that you remember to make good use of all your little bits and pieces !!
What a beautiful card.
