Butterfly Sketch #21

Saying goodbye to Summer is always painful, but maybe this lovely butterfly will help keep the warmth of summer in our hearts all year long .
This is the sketch for this week over at Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge .I just loved doing this card, because I love butterflies and it gave me an opportunity to use a  stamp that a friend gave me ages ago , that I have not used in a very long time.

The print paper I used  is  from the Laughing Lola paper pack from CTMH. I heat embossed the butterfly, and the Happy Birthday. I mounted both on Gypsy, and then on Black, and popped them up with dimensionals to make them stand out. The green  strip is a piece of cardstock called  Pear, and the ribbon is 3/4" white grosgrain. The little dots are pale green water dots from Miriam's Crafting Supplies. The Happy Birthday is from a CTMH stamp set called Joyful Birthday.
Heat Embossing is a lot of fun, and really helps add dimension to any project. I hope you give it a try, and don't forget to make good use of all you little bits and pieces.
