With Sympathy

Week 51 at Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge, wow. I cannot believe that our first year is almost up. It has been a great year, and I have come a long way and have learned alot thanks to Michelle Stewart and Darla haverstock .Thankyou ladies .
This week's sketch  was a fairly easy one for me, but doing sympathy cards is not. A life long family  friend lost her daughter to cancer this past week, and I needed to push past my reluctance to do one, and used the sketch to help me along.
I tend to prefer simple when doing a sympathy card, so I left off the bling and only used a little color to make the sentiment stand out. The background was embossed with the new quaterfoil embossing folder from CTMH, one of my new favorites. The rectangles were cut on the cricut and, I popped up both layers. With Sympathy was also cut on the criuct. I cut the image three times, and glued them together to give dimension. The lace was from my stash. The blue cardstock used is Crystal Blue from CTMH.
Have a great week everyone, Happy Easter, and don't forget to make good use of all your little bits and pieces.

  1. Love that you kept the white on white with the hints of blue. Just lovely without being overdone.

  2. Wonderful, I love the color and clean design, and agree it doesn't need the bling.

  3. I love the white on white. Clean simple and understated, just what a sympathy card should be in my opinion!
